What bases and rings for the 1894?

Okay, I got an 1894 44 Mag from the Big 5 today and I want to mount a scope on it but I'm not sure what base to get.  I looked at SWFA and found some Warne maxima 2 piece bases  that say 1894 Cowboy; would these fit on all 1894s'?  They also had some Weaver grand slam 1 and 2 piece bases; I prefer the 2 piece though.   Also what height of rings would work well.  I'm either gonna put a Bushnell banner 1.5 -4.5 X 32 or Bushnell Elite 3200 1.5 - 4.5 X 32 scope on it.  I'm thinking the Warne Maxima bases with low rings will work, but I want to check and see if any of you has experience before I spend my money on something that doesn't work.

Wow, all you Marlin owners and none of you have any experience with scoping an 1894?  Well I'll just buy a couple of different  set-ups and then I'll post the results so that if anyone else is thinking of scoping an 1894 they'll  find out what bases and rings work the best without spending $$$.  I'll post the results in a couple weeks.

I used a Weaver 63B one-piece base because it is more secure than a two piece version.
and I attached the scope with a pair of Warne low mount permanent rings.
It works like a charm and it is a solid mating of gun to scope.

I just found this question, or I would have shared the experience sooner.

When I scoped my 41mag 1894Marlin, I put a Leupold Compact 2 1/2power scope in a Redfield JR MA4 (one-piece base) part#511165 with Redfield rings part#522635 (mediums). Neat is the operative word, and an easy set-up.
I've used several Weaver and Bushnell 2-piece bases, and I think the one-piece has a lot going for it. I used the medium rings as I put this scope on several rifles and that height is a good compromise for me.

I use a Leupold compact shotgun scope on mine 2-7x33 with leupold base and rings. I like the heavy duplex rectical on shotgun scopes. I use lo rings with a hammer extension.

63 b weaver is right.  I got the simmons base and rings on mid south shooter for about 12 bucks.  I think I used the med high rings.  See throughs will cost more but don't like them.  Great gun.

For my 336 CS Marlin, I went with the single piece 63B Weaver base and Weaver Quad Lock rings.
