Flamecutting

I recently purchased a stainless single-six. I've been giving it a pretty good workout including about 200 .22 mag rounds of different types. I noticed some flame cutting on the top-strap today while cleaning it. Is this typical? Does it constitute a problem? Or should I just keep on shooting the crap out of it, and never-mind the small stuff?

Just clean it good because the flame cutting is probably  just a stain just like most of the BBL burning / flame cutting "calibers" are it's just  BS like a 220 swift is BBL burner but a 22-250 with the same velocity is not.  don't read to much into it . It is one persons take on it. superdown

I have never heard of a .22 or .22 mag flame cutting a revolver.  I have shot plenty of mag shells thru my blued Single Six and just took it out and looked it over good for any signs of this.  It is fine.  Give it a good cleaning, and if you do have cutting not just staining then give Ruger a call.
