6.0 lb. Tennessee Bass caught on huge Buzz Bait.
« on: July 04, 2003, 06:13:19 AM »
We went to a state managed lake where the fish must be 20" or longer to keep. We were getting sporatic action on Texas rigged lizards (black/watermelon Berkley power lizards) but only a couple 2 pounders. Then the rain came about 3:00pm. overcast and light showers. My buddy put a smaller buzz bait on and all hell broke loose. They were attacking buzz baits like mad. we caught several larger bass in a matter of minutes and I pulled out a 6.0 Lb. largemouth. I was using a huge, double bladed chartreuse bait that sounded like trash can lids banging together. The fish is at the taxidermist (my biggest yet) he was 19 3/4" inches long (oops)
and hovered around 6.0lbs. CHANGE BAITS EVEN IF IT SEEMS WIERD! It worked great for us! :-D
