209 breechplug w/out using carriers
« on: February 12, 2008, 05:29:17 AM »
First off, I appologize if this has been addressed before. I have crappy dial-up and dont have the patience to go through all the pages.

Anyway, I have a new Huntsmen barrel coming(Should be here middle of next month).

I was wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket Bplug that takes 209's without having to use orange carriers?
I know about the 25acp conversion but I am thinking about holding out for and trying that Buckhorn 209 stuff. From what I undrstand it only works with 209's.  If this plug exsists I would appreciate any info.

Thanks

Sorry, none that I am aware of. I asked Hubbards if they would make one 4 or 5 years ago. He said he should look into getting one of the newer NEF Huntsmans and make some, but I don't think they ever did.

They did make some plugs for the older H&R Huntsmans from the '70's, but nothing yet for the newer NEF's that I am aware of.

You could give them a call and see.

Guys, I sent an e-mail to Hubbard's on Jan 10 re: this very issue, but have yet to hear anything. Been meaning to call but haven't got a round "tuit"! ::)
... told him in the e-mail I'd post it here which would bring lots of inquiries ($$$)  ???
