I do remember Pearl Harbor (almost, I had just turned 5 then).
You Are correct, in that the Shinto inspired Japanese Bushido were fanatical and often, suicidal..however, the Japanese fought man-on-man and did not hide in birkas or
try to melt into the civilian population.. They Bushido had a code of honor..
The same people have since, disavowed that mistaken practice of suicide bombings..and for the past 68 years, have been a solid, reliable, civilized ally and trading partner.
Were the fanatics of Islam to disavow the practice of "stupidcide" bombing, disavow the murderous practices they are famous for ..and become a solid, reliable, civilized ally
and trading partner..I may decide to consider them a acceptable..before 68 years have gone by...
Till then, "I calls 'em as I sees 'em !"
