Well if you like  big muzzleloaders you might want to check out
http://www.dayoopers.com
Click on the tourist trap link and check out Big Ernie. The only time they fired it with a projectile, they used a large duct taped rock which landed in a cornfield about 2 miles away. Unfortunately the recoil was so powerful it blew Big Ernie off the truck. They are condisidering another try but have to rebuild their courage or find some more in a bottle

Yep,

Been dere, dun dat, bot da T-Shirt, eh. I lived up there in the 80's, both my kids are natural born Yoopers. Those guys were just starting out back in the early 80's, they are a hoot. We go back and visit when we can.

Big Ernie might belong in the traditional forum though, eh? ;D

I'm also aware of a cannon built in da UP, I never saw it with my own eyes but heard stories through a buddy at college.  A couple years later by sheer chance I happened to be shooting at the same spot where the stories I'd had took place, the trenches dug by the 2-inch slug and the obliterated trees were quite impressive.

The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind
