quickdtoo, need some advise
« on: February 21, 2008, 02:13:13 PM »
I have sold some loaded ammo and will ship by USPS or UPS.  I know the P.O. has rules on shipping ammo and was wondering what I had to do to get it shipped.  I know also about the ORM D stamp.  What is the purpose of this?  And last which would be better to ship with.  Thanks for any help.

USPS rules are real simple on ammo, primers and powder, they can't be mailed. They have to be shipped UPS or Fedex ground.

I would recommend you go to a Customer Center, they might not accept it at a store, they can't accept firearms.

Set up an account with them and fill out the info to print your label online. Then drop it off with any driver or any store with a pick up location. Most all gun shops have regular pickup I'm sure and besides any driver can take it so if you're friendly with your gun shop owner just leave it with him to give to the UPS guy. That's the way I do it.
