Help identify my stock set?
« on: February 23, 2008, 03:16:41 PM »
I have a youth stock set that came on a used handi I just bought. Its wood covered with some type of weather guard. It feels like synthetic but when I removed the forearm you can tell its wood.  I figure this was to keep the weight of the wood for less recoil but yet be weatherproof. Its dark brown. Was this a factory set or has it been modified?

That describes it well. Is that something common?

Some guys do it to give a better grip and some do it to hide a ugly peice of wood , also gives the look of the Tupperwear stocks but the feel of wood .
