SIGHTRON 1X20
« on: February 21, 2008, 05:32:56 PM »
Has anyone used the Sightron 1x20?

I read somewhere that it was for use on muzzleloaders.  Was thinking about on my SKS.  I have a drill and tap mount.  Need slightly smaller scope.  Was thinking about Weaver K2.5, but then I found this Sightron listed.

I have one of these scopes on a muzzle loader. The Sightron S1 has great optics in my opinion, liked it better than the Nikon 1 power scope in a side by side test. I have a new Weaver V3 and would like to use it on the muzzle loader but the state I live in has a no magnification optic rule for muzzle loaders.

The Weaver K would be good as well with a little more magnification. I think a fixed power scope on an SKS would be the way to go. There was a Weaver fixed power scope listed in the classifieds just recently.

I looked through a Sightron once and it seems pretty good for the money (optically don't know about the guts).

Thanks for the firsthand.  It seems like there aren't many people with these scopes, is hard to get an opinion.
