Whiskers and broadheads
« on: July 09, 2003, 11:23:21 AM »
:D After all I heard here about whisker biscuits, I went to the archery stores and looked at them. No one had anything bad to say about them.I'd like to try one but which one do I get? I see about three different styles and they come in the notched out new version or the old version and black or camo. I've been using bear razorheads with good success but they seem to be getting phased out. Can anyone suggest a similar head? Thanks.

On the wisker biscuits, they are pretty much all the same with the difference being the amount of windage and elevation adjustment each model is capable of for tuning your bow.

My recommendation is the new one with the cutout.  I don't remember the model name, but it's a good idea to get the one which has the horizontal as well as vertical adjustment to the rest.  That way you do not have to move your loop or nock to tune between field points and broadheads.

I have the older model biscuit on my bows and I cut out a section around 10 o'clock to insert the arrow shaft from the topside.  Works good.

On the broadheads I like the 4 blade Muzzy's, use both 100's and 125's.

Thomas is right on the mark, it's called the QS or Quick Shot, I bought one for my bow and I am very pleased with it.  I enjoy my Muzzy 90 4 blades for most of my shooting. :D
