Friends for life takes on real meaning at times
« on: February 25, 2008, 03:58:57 PM »
Friend and I used to work together and I hadn't heard from him for a couple of months. Called him up and he said he's on medical leave after needing emergency surgery and 18 days in the hospital. Almost died. Six months to recover, but can't recover fully. Will probably be able to go fishing again.

Times like this test a friendship and I'm being tested again. Last time Don died and I did the right thing for him and his mother. I guess it's time to  do some walleye fishing, and other things this friend likes to do.

There's more. Got my hunting and fishing videos lent out to brother in law convalescing after surgery. Shooting trap with friend with failing health. Mother in law has one foot in the grave and the other foot in a roller skate. At least my friends like hunting and fishing. Don't know what I'd do if I had a friend who liked knitting or going to the opera.

Safety first
