Benelli SuperNova Scope Mount
« on: January 18, 2008, 07:51:18 AM »
Hey, anyone out there own a Benelli SuperNova synthetic?  I bought mine last year and love it.  I've used it for squirrel, trap, turkey, etc.  Haven't had any problems or regrets!  Anyway, I'm wanting to mount a red dot scope on it for this year's spring turkey season but it is not drilled for a scope mount.  I've seen where they make the shotgun scope mounts that slide over the action and mount through the pin holes in the side.  Does anyone know if they make one of these to fit the SuperNova?  I've seen them for the Nova and the Super Black Eagle but I don't see one that specifically says it fits the SuperNova.  Do you know if the one for the Nova would fit?  This one is on Bass Pro:

Thanks for any help!!  And anyone know why this thing is $50??  Seems a little pricey to me... :-\

Benelli lists a Weaver mount for SBE2 and M2 Field only.  What I don't like about these superhigh saddle mounts is the way the mount forces you to raise your head off the buttstock.  I priced a Blackhawk sniper lace-on cheekpiece at $40 to go along with a scope mount of $80 on a Beretta once, and decided to use a different shotgun instead.  It was cheaper!
