Driving my wife to her physical therapy Thursday I noticed diesel was 3.24.9 a gal. I told her I need to stop and get fuel, but she insisted we could not make her appointment on time if we did, so I relented and said I will get it on the way home. Two hours later I drove into the station and started pumping fuel, about half way full I glanced over at the sign, it had been changed to 3.44.9 a gal. Diesel went up here due to the fire at the Big Springs refinery. I remember buying diesel for .10 a gal, I could fill the truck for 2.80, today it takes 75.00 to fill her up. Diesel took a heck of a jump in price when the government placed the requirement on the refineries to remove the sulfates.
