Winter time fishing.

I'm back in Florida...Jupiter to be exact - which is about 15 minutes north of West palm beach.  Anyway, people are starting to catch cobia right off the pier!!

I know that most of us are hunting this winter time, but is anybody going fishing?

well i live in st.pete and have been catching snook and ladyfish mostly. Have not seen cobia at all.

This week, January 28, they have been catching a lot of blue fish, but it has been hit or miss.  Off of the June Beach Pier, your best bet, regardless of tide, is during the early morning.

We do a lot of Tuna fishing down here in La. in the winter. We catch a lot of Wahoo too. The only problem is you have to fish the weather. It is no fun being caught offshore when a front hits.

I was on Okaloosa County pier at Destin one time watching guys catching nice Bonito off the pier.
They were jigging behind schools of cigar minnows that would pass by...That looked fun.
