22-250 to 223 Ruger #1
« on: March 11, 2008, 08:37:54 AM »
Just running it through my mind. Thinking about trying to trading a #1 I have in 22-250 for one in 223 .Which one is more common?
I.ll be back in Va. this summer for a little groundhog removal ,where I have it in storage. I,m trying to consolidate my ammo collection.
Thanks for any ideas or info.

I have Ruger No.1's in 223 and 22-250. The 22-250 will shoot a bit further out  and will have much flatter trajectory within 223 ranges. My 22-250 was a bit more accurate so I picked it over the 223 when I purchased a Canjar trigger.
If you do not reload the 223 will be cheaper and maybe just a little easier to find ammo for.
Either or you cannot go wrong.
