OUCH!!! and thanks Roy, I am following your posts with great interest. I am sure that Dixie slug load will put down any deer and black bear around, and possibly more!! I look forward to your observations of the 26 grain load after you shoot it. What is a max load of blue Dot with that massive hard cast slug?....<><....:)

recoil is stiff but no where near a 12 3 1/2"  turkey load  I am sure that with a scoped gun this group could be cut in half  I am due for new glasses
I have 5 more loaded up don't know if I'll get out today or not
by the way Kurt that one dangerous game slug you sent me made a hole .625x.775  so it was starting to destablize in flight at 50 yards, if I can get the same sight in as the brennekes that is where I'll  stop (faster bullet equals less time in barrel for recoil to effect equals  lower hits Hopefully ;D)

wouldn't it be nice of it worked out as reloading usually does, that reduced recoil/velocity/pressure is associated with smaller groups....<><....:)
