Aguilla Supermaximum Hyper Velocity

Today I got a brick of the worlds fastest 22LR ammo. It's 30 grain. The box says ELEY PRIME. Does that  mean Aguilla is made by Eley or versa vice? I got both hollow point and round nose to try. I'll report back next week. Supposedly it flies at 1700fps.

The last time I mail-ordered it I was paying $19...that was about a year ago. Glad I stocked up!!!
I think my local shop still has it for $25.95

Anyway, it is very fast stuff. I had a few shots go over 1,800fps in my Remmy 511.

Don't use it too much in your semi-auto's though--most aren't rated to handle hyper velocity ammo and you will REALLY be giving your action a battering. I will attest it does actually give your 22lr a *very small amount* of felt recoil!

That being said, it's too fast and too light to shoot well from most rifles....so don't epect great accuracy.

Being 22LR stinger & M2 oriented I have no experience yet with hyper ammo. You obviously are ahead  of me. I only last week learned of hyper ammo. I'm not asking for a 22lr hyper ammo category but those of you who have tinkered w/hyper ammo need to open up. I am all ears. Just to understand rimfire is daunting but the new hyper rimfire is mesmerizing. Yet nothing is known.

Stingers are also considered "Hyper Velocity"
FWIW, CCI Velocitors (40grs at over 1,400fps) are also Hyper velocity.The worlds fastest 40gr is also a product of Aguila, the newly release Interceptor.

Most recent news is also  that CCI has come up with a new powder/load to increase velocity by 40-50fps.
