Im glad it shoots good for you, I also use my mill dot scopes for aiming points on my 222 223 and 17 hmr, like you said, the key is to remember what power you shot with at the range because the space will change at different powers, Can you see impact with that 243 or does it recoil enough that you loose the target in the scope? I Dont know if you have enough mill dots or not, but that baby should reach a hog at 500 yards with no problem, Next year i want to join south fork rifle club at beaverdale pa and start clicking for yardage, My club only has a 200 yard range and for further shots i have learned where my gun hits by watching the dirt fly while hunting, i now have my 223 deadly out to 350 yards.
good luck with the groundhogs, they dont seem to active latley back here in bedford county, or maybe i got em thinned out, aint sure yet.
