I give up!!!!

I thought I may of had a lead on some of the new guns coming out. i called CS 3days ago and was told they would not even be going to production til August but a guy insisted that he had talked to a supplier and that they had the ultragon's in stock and on the shelf cause it said so on the box but they had not changed the stock # yet. I have asked him to find out what the stock # is on the box that says??? "ultragon" but he has not gotten back to me yet. I was thinking maybe they had released some that had been made for testing or for the show or something. So I called Customer Service again today and get an entirly differant but what had before been the standard answer before this August date I got from them a couple of days ago "March but probly April" Last question please. Have any of the new offerings that were put in the catalog been released yet? Have any been manufactured yet? NO NO . If I didn't enjoy these guns so much I would of given up on them long ago . But for now it's don't get your hopes up don't count on anything that is said from them . They do repair and fix the mistakes they make. But other than that it's all a guess. First one to get one of the new guns that is offered in the new catalog w/2008 ser# let me know. Thanks Kurt

Cher up buddy , they may get it right one of these days  :o  , The first order of business for Remington should be to come up with an inventory tracking system for those people in CS . ONE THAT WORKS

Kurt,

I didn't get to take a close look at them as I had to run to get back to Ohio in time, but I saw 4 H&Rs with the thumb hole stocks at Bud's gun shop in Paris, Ky about 3 weeks ago. I would have looked at them but the place was overflowing with people and I had a 3 hour drive.

I here what your say Busta but it really doesn't matter if ya get the same different answers.
Greg they have had the THoles on different guns in the past I think the Ultra Slug Hunter deluxe may of been one of them.

That seems to be about what you can count on Tim when the BBT shows up. Oh wait I did that once already and my 2 sets of Laminated Thole stocks that I got charged for were not there they hadn't even been made yet. But they did fix that mistake . Kurt

Yes they do Tim.  They're great people working there.  It must be very frustrating for the Customer Service folks having to work under the limitations that they have.

I gave up too !!

When they dropped the 22 Hornet along with not producing the new rifles/calibers they said they would I am done.

I am not a big Remington fan in the first place.

I will be shooting my Winchester M-70 22 hornet rather than the NEF and my Winchester M-12 shotgun rather than the Pardner.

I traded both (NEF/Pardner) in at the local gun shop..................gone.

Nice group here................but............."the writing is obviously on the wall now"..........thanks to Big Green............just wait and see     ;)

I see these buy outs often in my work.

The lead I had on the ultragon guns turned out to be they were using the new boxes to ship the old stock so I had them make sure what the model# was on the end of the box it contained the old guns.But there is good news to be had here. At least they are puttin out the new boxes now maybe some day the new guns will find there way into them ;D Kurt
