Shoot as much of it as you can afford. CorBon ammo is fine in your Glock. If your Glock is a 3rd gen model, the chamber is about as well supported as a chamber can be and still feed properly.

I think my 23c is Gen2 and it shoots the 135gr +P Corbon without difficulties. By the way, with the shorter barrel and comp I get around 1230 fps and not 1300.

Never used the 180's.

CorBon has been an issue duty load for many departments for many years. I would have no quams about shooting it, or any other factory .40 ammo in a 2nd gen Glock.

How does one tell the generation of them? One of my G22s was picked up used and the other new within the last couple years. My G27 was bought new perhaps three years or so ago, maybe four. I don't keep up with such things all that well.

The quick way for an ID is finger grooves or not. 1st gen none. 2nd and 3rd yes.
To the thread, I shoot cor-bon 135's in my 1st gen ( what I keep in it) used to be a game wardens gun, so who knows what has been down the tube, but I have never had any troubles

No grooves on the used one I picked up. Paid $400 even with night sights.

Both my new 22 and the 27 have finger grooves and the 22 has a sight rail also.

Bill,
Don't hold me to it, but I THINK the differences between the gen 2/gen 3 are the loaded chamber indicator bump on the extractor, a second pin in the locking block, and the rail on the dust cover. I am by no means an authority on Glocks. Started out hating them, as any good 1911 man should, and ended up appreciating them for their performance. I have had a few I let go, but still have a mdl 17/mdl 22/mdl36. They have become my "Go To" guns.

I'm almost positive there isn't a "1st Gen" .40 Glock.  They were 9mm's.  that was the smooth grip, no imprinted side panels.  .40's will either be "2nd Gen" (no finger grooves) or "3rd Gen", Finger grooves, light rail.  Some of the 21's were 2.5 gen, with finger grooves and no light rail.

All of the .40's should have two pins in the locking block area.  It was only the 9mm's that originally only had one pin in the locking block.  (somebody correct me if I'm wrong)
