New Stock for Savage 110
« on: March 04, 2008, 10:31:25 AM »
I have a 110 in 30-06 that was originally a package gun with the wood stock.  It is now wearing a B-Square 1-piece base with warne rings and a Nikon 3-9x 40.  I would like to put it in a new stock.  I want one that is durable and accurate not necessarily pretty.  I've looked at the B&C Carbelite and like the lines and weight as well as the Hogue, but I'm not sure if I like the rubber feel all over the gun.  I'd appreciate any suggestions ya'll can offer.

checkout www.stockadegunstocks.com.  He makes composite gunstocks with an internal, aluminum bedding block for Savage actions.  All stocks available in right or left hand configurations.  I'm looking to get one for my tupperware stocked model 12.  Prices aren't too bad if you don't mind doing a little sanding and finishing.  Or you can get them all painted and ready to go.

I have a black B&C Duramaxx on my 110 that I am happy with. I got it from Midwayusa & if you don't want to spend to much it's well worth checking out. I bought the used & lightly fired 110 but it came with a badly warped factory stock. The only small issue is it comes with a varmint sized barrel channel, so with a regular barrel there is a gap around the barrel. That of course is much better than the barrel pressed against the side of the channel, which is what I started with.
