Not sure if I should post it here or not

Well, after all the struggling to get my Encore .308 sighted in and trigger adjusted ................I think I finally got it !! I can not tell you guys how much I appreciate all the advise !!

I went on a hog/turkey hunt a little over a week ago . I wanted to kill a big boar with my new toy but it just didn't happen...........I didn't get a turkey either !! 

I was hoping for some easy stalk or something..........yeilding in a 50 yrd or less shot. I have been practicing at 100 yrds but to be honest ............just couldn't see how some of you guys hit at 200+ yrds !!! Anyway , finally got a shot on a small (40lb or so) hog at 130 yrds  and I shot right under it . It ran towards the woods and as luck would have it ............it stopped right before the woods and looked back even though the other hog had ran into the woods and I nailed it at 163 yrds !! Crazy thing............this is the longest shot I have ever made on anything .........rifles included !!

It was awesome and the little hog dropped with a 150 grain Ballistic Silvertip through the back of the shoulders .  Man, I was really impressed with the gun and capabilities ................and can now see that practice pays off and 200 yrd shots may not be as impossible as I thought !!!

Like I said...........can't thank you guys enough for the help and advise while I was trying to set up my gun and sight it in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man !! It's always great to get encouragement when getting into a new sport !! My deer season starts in September and I can't wait to go with this pistol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really struggled at first getting this thing sighted in and what not ............but with some help from the guys on this forum and a little trigger work........................and some practice...........it seems to have finally worked out !!!

I will definitely post results from the upcoming season ................as I expect to pretty much drop bow hunting and most rifle hunting for this pistol !!!!!!!

Dave, I was using my holster and man...........that thing is the cat's "meow" hunting !! I really enjoyed stalking and getting into stands with that set up !!! Now I just can't wait till deer season !!
