Having my Marlin Tuned up.
« on: March 08, 2008, 12:50:39 PM »
Took my Guide Gun to the gunsmith today. Dropped it off to have the trigger lightened up and to tune it if it  it needs it.  Gun has been good to me I just couldn't take that heavy trigger pull on it. I figured I get it all fixed up now so it's all ready to go bear hunting in June.

I just replaced my trigger in my 1895G with a WWG one piece. Trigger pull went from 7 lb. to 2 lb. pull. Cost was about 90.00 but well worth the cost. Your trigger job will definitely help with accuracy. Good move!!!!!

you're gonna love the lighter pull, had my 336W taken care of last year, brought it down to 2 1/2lbs  with that and a single bag rest was able to ring the 1 1/2" gong 5 times in a row using Hornady Le 160 gr. at 200 yards. Sweet  is a understatement!! Mr fixit

you'll be really surprised at the pull, being use to the ungodly amount of pressure you have to exert now, I would say my 336W feels like the target trigger on the CZ .270 JUST INCREDIBLE!! 8) Be mindful of that trigger in the woods and the range, touching it firmly makes it go boom! ;D ;D  Mr fixit
