Year of manufacture

Was hoping to determine the year of manufacture of a Contender frame that I own. Ser.#277XX. Purchased it used more than 20 years ago if memory serves me correct. Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks.

277XX is on the chart for 1974 manufacture.  If you go to the first post on this forum there is a faq list that includes a link to this chart.

I have a frame that has a similar age, and I shoot it quite a lot.

Thanks Keith. I'm new to this site, so I'm still feeling my way around. By the way, I also have a G2 frame, and I like my old "original" much better!
