My 22-250 Range Report
« on: March 19, 2008, 09:33:22 AM »
Went to the indoor range today.  Using Handi 22-250 with 22" bull barrel, 1 in 14 twist.  I tried various power loads with the same hardware. My best grouping was 5 shots in 1" at 100 yards. Using Winchester brass and primers, Nosler 55 gr. balistic tips with 36.5 grains of H380.  Saw no key holing with any of the loads tested, from 36 to 38 grains in .5 grain increments.  Rifle only has 60 rounds through it so far, so I think it will eventually settle down into better groups.  I will continue testing and update as I go along.     -Rob

My best 22-250 reload with 55g was with the lightest load of powder as well.  Mine was with Varget and IMR4350.
Got:
