I don't see why not, they are not a sabot. They have not published the length anywhere as of yet, so they may or may not be legal in Colorado. Colorado has a "no longer than 2x the bore diameter", so if they are longer than an inch they would be too long. I would hope Hornady would not be foolish enough to make their first offering too long for Colorado. It could also be shortened with the tip removed, so if it were just over and inch with the tip, it might be legal without the tip. I am sure they will be offering other calibers and weights as soon as they get the bugs worked out and get them launched.
What State are hunting in? Some of the States require an all lead bullet, I doubt that Hornady will be providing all lead in this design.
I also look forward to testing these bullets out thoroughly as soon as they are available. I also bumped up and old post I made on these a couple months back for you to read. If they perform like their ad says, they will be able to be pushed at higher velocities than the PowerBelt. That will be a welcomed sight for the Elk hunters, that need penetration instead of expansion.
