Omega X7 at the range

Shot the new X7 today . Got a leupold vari x II on it. shot Hornady SSTs 250 grain.  8 inch group using 100 grains (volume) JSG
 same bullet 90 grains JSG  6 inch group.  Now this is my first T/C . This is the tightest bore Ive ever had. I just about needed a jack hammer to load this thing. Im gonna try some different bullets & different powder. I dont need this gun to shoot 1 inch groups but Im thinking 2-3 inch groups isnt too much to ask. Any sugestions as to what type of bullets or powder these omegas like would be
 appreciated. Not the best day at the range Ive ever had but sbetter than being at work Thanks Jay

Did you clean the gun prior to shooting it?  I've had accuracy issues with APP powders coming into contact with residual oil in the bore.  I've also seen huge fluctuations in velocity using APP powders so I pretty much went back to pyrodex.  If you have any petroleum based products in the bore the APP powders tend to form a white greasy film as fouling.  It is a pain to get out of the gun and accuracy seems to suffer.  If I alcohol swab the bore first I don't get the greasy residue and accuracy is better but I've never been able to get real good groups with APP and any bullet I've tried.

Yep cleaned it before shooting & wet swabbed then dry between shots.

Pretty sure you are going to have to shoot HPH-24's or even maybe down to a HPH-3p-EZ load.... I know the new Triumphs need to shoot the "crush ribs" because they are so tight.

The SST's should have come with a MMP HPH-12 sabot which is the thickest sabot they make...

Try the 200gr Shockwave with supplied sabots.  Neither of my Omegas will take the 250s with supplied sabots but those 200s are great.
