Swampman,
Back in it`s day that was a great round! Almost got one myself but held on for awhile and the .357 maxi arrived on the scene and got one of those!! And does it shoot in the 10" Contender configuration.

Swampman,
Would you care to elaborate. I've thought about getting one off and on when I've seen them for sale, just haven't pulled the trigger. Is it easy to load for? What is your favorite load? Accuracy? Ever run on over a chronograph? Do you still have yours? Thanks for the input.   Jerry J

Jerry,
I have a 12" bulberry barrel in 357 B&D. Love it! I am using 24.6 grains of 296 with the hornady fp/xtp bullet and it chronies at 2146 fps 5 shot avg. Got my first deer with it two years ago. Very easy round to load for. Just run a lubed 44 mag. case through the die and it tapers it down to the .357 neck. Only downside is it has a short neck so you don't get to load as much powder with the 180 grain bullets.  The accuracy is very good as I can get a 5 shot group under two inches at 100 yards.

Mine was a .357 Magnum barrel that was rechambered by Bain & Davis.  It was very easy to load for, just run the .44 brass up in the die.  I used a healty dose of W296 and mostly a Speer 180 grain FP and a 170 grain hollow point somebody was making back then.  Mine would shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards.
