What's the price difference?

I'm going totally by memory here and could be very wrong, but I think the "w" means it comes with a 'scope.  Otherwise the same gun.

Again, I could be vey wrong and I hope someone else jumps in here.

Is it new or used?  There has been talk about the web for quite some time that the "W" model Marlins designate versions sold through Wal mart.  I don't know if that's true or not.  If the one at Gander is new, that would seem to discount the Wal Mart theory.

Regardless, the Mod 795 has fine reputation as a decent shooter.  Pretty much all Marlin Mod 60 types are know to be accurate beyond their dollar value.

These were definitely at Gander Mountain on Colvin Ave. in Tonawanda NY, and they had 4 of them on display..."so NOW, you know the rest of the story"... :D ;D
I don't give any credence to those stories of Walmart selling lesser quality than others !I have bought guns from Walmart and guns from private shops,
there is no difference! The only difference I see is less price..not less quality !

I bought a Marlin 880SQ from Walmart about 4 years ago..no different than other 880SQs..and it will shoot right alongside my Anschutz and CZ rifles.
