I've not been out turkey hunting here in Bama in a long time but even tho I'm kinda out of touch with season opener as a result I think it might begin the 20th here. Yesterday as we were coming home from town we noticed a large flock of 30-40 turkeys out in a recently plowed field. I was having to watch the road carefully so didn't get as good a look as my wife but she said she noticed at least two gobblers in full strut. Yup it's that time again in the deep south.
