I have no experience here, but I've heard they are extremely loud in pistol barrel.  I have noticed pistol barrels selling relatively cheap which isn't a good sign.  Just my $0.02.  Walt

I have never sot one of the pistol barrels.  I have a rifle barrel for my G2 and it is fine, but I stayed away from the pistol barrel because of talk about excessive muzzle blast.

Here's a target shot at 100 yards with my T/C Contender (G2) with a 14" barrel.  I haven't found the best load for it yet.

  ???

I have found the best load for my Remington 700 though!   ;D

I was going to buy one once because they were cheap.  Then I went to Bullberry's websight and read where Fred had started with a long barrel and cut it off an inch at a time.  When he got to around 16" the muzzle blast was moving stuff on the walls and he could not even get a Crony reading with every shot because of the muzzle blast.

I change my mind and did not buy one.  Always wondered if the blast was really that bad.  I just decided that my 223 shot plenty good.
