Tradition In-Line
« on: August 13, 2003, 06:33:50 PM »
Hi guys...this is my first post in the muzzle loading forum.
My question is about Tradition In-Line gun.
A guy i know is looking into getting me a brand new one for only
$100.
Now, this will be my first ML ever. I've never shot or owned one.
I have looked in several magazines and haven't found any guns this cheap before. Are they good guns or what? Should I buy it?
I don't know what the name of the gun is though.

I know it's a legit deal because he know someone that owns a sporting goods store. He himself has bought 5!!!  Gave 4 away as presents and kept one himself.

Tradition firearms are generally pretty good. But just remember, you get what you pay for. I have owned 9 different Traditions inlines. I only kept 2 for me to shoot and hunt with. The other 7 had various problems that caused me to return them or sell them off. The 2 I kept are one of the new Evolution Premier and a Lightning LD. Both of these are tack drivers with the load I worked up for them. However, just to show you how finicky firearms from the sam manufacturer can be, the Evolution like Pyrodex RS and the Lightning likes 777 powder. Good luck and remember safety first.
