life expectency of primer carriers

Provided I don't loose them , about how many times would you say those primer carriers are good for?
I ask because I am wanting to stock up on them

My Huntsman was one of the first several years ago. I still use  some of the original primer carriers and they work fine. I found that they get stretched if you reuse them when they are hot, just after firing. So when I am shooting at the range repeatedly, I use several carriers to allow them to cool between shots. When I allow them to cool they do not stretch and last and last.

I used one primer carrier to sight in and get comfortable with the rifle.  I'd guess 30 - 40 shots.  I harvested a deer with the same carrier.  I've got 40 of them now, and that ought to be a lifetime supply.

DCRthe3rd,

I used the for a couple years before buying the .25 ACP plug. I did put over 60 shots on one carrier just to see how long they would last. It could still be used, but was severely washed out from the blowback gasses cutting into the plastic. They actually start to wash out on the first use and progressively get worse. You can however expect at least 20 shots per carrier under normal loads. I also have 3 carriers that were toast after only one shot shooting Black Mag'3 and 460 grain conicals. It actually blew the Winchester primers open and locking them into the carrier. I never experienced those problems with lighter saboted bullets and the BM'3.

I got some the other day and I noticed the container says up to 20 shots , not that that means a awhole lot but that must be what they consider to be the useful life of them , hopefully I will get more , but if not I bought enough plus you have to factor in what I will loose ::)
