Have any of you used the PRVI 185 grain 45 caliber LC bullet for hunting? The company is PRVI Partizan Ammunition. They look good and price is right but how do they preform?

I`ve never heard of them, but if their bullets are not gas checked you won`t be able to push them much over 1,000 fps. would be my guess. If your looking for a good cast bullet you can really push I`ve had the 260 gn. Lead Head GC bullets to around 2,600 fps. without leading.

Roo, the only PRVI bullets I have shot where jacketed spire points for my 264Mag.  I am still dinking around with load development but the are sized correctly and the weight is fairly uniform.  On the graff an son's web site they had a picture of one that had been cut to show the cross section and they appeared to have a thick jacket.  Not much help with revolver bullets though, sorry.

Oregon Trail Laser Cast can also go over 1000fps w/o using gas checks.

I have used a lot of Privi brass, jacketed bullets, and loaded ammo in several calibers and have been very satisfied with the performance and quality.
