I just horsetraded for a NIB 2003 year model Savage Model 12BVSS-S in .308 Win. ;D It was in the inventory of one of the gunshops that I haunt. I hope to get it to the range soon.... Does anyone have one that they'd care to tell about, except that the thing is HEAVY!?

My Savage 308 is not a BVSS however, it loves varget and 125gr nosler bal.tips. It also likes RL15 pretty well. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

Got it to the range, on paper @ 25 yards, one hole. Moved it out to 200, and despite the wind when I finally got it dialed in the last four shots were in the 9 and 10 ring.... I'm surprised.... ;D
