Question about the Sportster

  I have had centerfires by H&R/NEF but I've never had rimfires before.  Are there the same problems with them that there are with the bigger bores such as stuck cases, light strikes, etc.?  I'm thinking of getting one but I want whatever I get to work without having to mess with it.  Also, is it best to send barrels back to the factory on the rimfire version like it is on the centerfire?  Are the triggers about the same, etc.?  What about barrel rifling?  Is it shallow?  All input/information is appreciated.

Biggest problem with rimfires is the transfer bar, there have been lots of them returned to the factory for repair due to light strikes/no fires. Other than that, everything else is the same, although they're ejectors at this time, no issues with ejecting tho.

Cost wise, an accessory 22Lr rimfire barrel will cost as much if not more than a complete rifle after shipping both ways and fitting, while the 22mag, 17M2 and 17hmr are about $130-$140 for a rlfle and acc barrels over $100 with shipping.

i experienced many misfires with my sportster. after a call to the factory i sent the rifle back to the factory. no misfires now.
