How do you keep records on your reloading?

I need to do a better job.

Looked at a records manual a the store this weekend.$$
Is there a (free) chart I could print out and put in a binder?

I use an Excel spreadsheet. Easy and free (if you have Excel or OpenOffice)

Hi,

     Make one yourself with the info you need on the computer.  You can also get free programs take will help as well.  Do a google search for free ballistic software.  I got a free program that way and it works great.  It called pointblank.

+1 for the excel spreadsheet.   Works fast and easy, and you can add all the notes and such you want without running out of room.

I came up with my own form - as has been suggested - which I have constantly modified - since none of the published examples had just what I wanted.  Not hard to do on your computer.  I'll try to attach it but no promises.

Also that Pointblank program is a good basic, and FREE! exterior ballistics program.  Download it and have fun playing "what if?"

I would love to do a spread sheet, but I know that I won't keep it up to date unless I have a computer on my bench.
Plus I could take a paper chart out to the range.

Been working on making my own today.
Just seems like some web site would offer it.

I have a notebook that I  have been using form close to 20 years. I simply draw lined columns and label them with what I want to record, leaving a healthy sized column for remarks, notes, etc.

Partsman, check out gunloads.com, on left side under printable targets- load sheets. Pretty good ones and you print what ya need.

I made my own on microsoft word spreadsheet and I also keep one on paper in a 3 ring binder, just in case my computer crashes.

That's a good one.
The ones on gunloads looked more for pistol to me.

I ended up making a couple on MS Works.
One for working up loads three charts for three groups each on one page.
The other for keeping track of good loads for one rifle.





I tried to attach the documents. It didn't work.
So I scanned them and posted as pics.

I use a spreadsheet form that I worked up to fit into a 3 ring notebook, I'd upload it to the board but I can't figure out how to add an attachment to this.  If someone would explain that, I'd be more then happy to U/L it.

Mine don't look like it in the pics but they are full page.

I started a 3 ring binder last night.
Man, I have a lot of printed out load info!
All ready need to get tabs to separate calibers.

dont worry, it gets worse. i already using 8 different binders with multiple tabs(5-15 each) plus a few files to cover all the calibers and firearms i loading for. as far as i can see there is no end in sight.
