Powder recomendation?
« on: April 08, 2008, 03:39:55 PM »
I will be loading 223 Remington, 30-06 Springfield, and 308 Winchester among others and am looking for a "one size fits all" type of powder, if there is one.

Looking in the various load books I have available to me, there are a few brands of powder that can be used but Id like to get some expert opinion as to what is best.

What I use for a "do all" powder is Alliant "red dot". I use it for shotgun and revolver loads. Rifle is a different thing. I use IMR 4895 in my "06" loads.
