I have an Encore rifle with a .223 barrel and composite stocks. I am looking for a quality bipod that will mate well with the Encore. Swivel? or Fixed? Brand/type recommendations. Any help would be appreciated.

Harris, Swivel, size depends on how you plan on using it. 9"-13" works great for bench or laying on the ground. These are the only kind I'll use. KN

You may want to order one tall enough that allows you to shoot from the setting position.
