60gr bullet in 25-06

Anyone have a load for a 60gr bullet in a 25-06? None of my books have a listing for it. I would like to have a load using Win. 760 but would like others also.

Should be a screamer!!!!!!!!! :o I bet you could get it close to 4,000 FPS :o ;D I have always said I love fast and flat. Dale

75 grain bullets are the lightest that I can find.....

  The 25-06 is a BIG case for that light bullet.! Also ,I read some where that WW760 is NOT a good powder in the 25-06. I have not tried it and can't find the article now, so be aware there HAVE been problems in the past.  my 4th edition Hornady manual shows the 60 grain bullet with 760 powder in the .257 Roberts Improved getting 3800 fps. Maybe a call to Hornady will shed some light on this.

The velocity limit llisted for the 60-grain Hornady is 3800 fps.  They have thin jackets and will likely come apart above that velocity.   
Speer used to make pointed 60-grain .257" bullets but discontinued them sometime in the 1960s.

I shot the Hornady 60 gr. years ago through a 257 weatherby mag, but don't recall the load data. What I do remember is out past about 300 yds. they began to tumble. at times shooting paper at 300 plus yards they would hit the paper sideways. Ididnt have a chrony at the time, so I dont know how fast they were going.
