Columbia Tents
« on: March 26, 2008, 06:49:29 AM »
Anyone have any experience with the "Cougar Flats" tent by columbia? They have it on sale at Basspro right now, and it looks and sounds good. But I'd like to hear from someone that has used it.
  Thanks

Not familiar with it, but when I think of quality tents, I don't think of Columbia. In fact, when I think of tents, I don't think of Columbia, or Bass Pro. Try campmor.com, get a north face.

I took a look at it and it looks like a family tent.  Tents are kind of like buying a new vehicle.  You probably need to decide first what kind of camping you are going to be doing.  Then, how many times a year, car camping and such.  The Columbia tents are not high price tents.  I would think Eureka to be a better option.  Northface, MSR,  and other manufactures are higher end tents.

I own four tents, 4-man, 2-man (2), and a one man bivy.  Even have a bivy bag and ripstop tarp for ultimate light weight camping.
