Boggy HELP

Since you arent trapping bvr this spring , come on down with your scuba gear and help me check my bvr traps.......  water levels have been rising for two weeks.  Need a  real bvr trapper to go  dive in and locate bvr sets . Some under  8 feet of water..... When can you get here?  Mac you can supervise, but dont think Boggy needs any help  as he  has developed gills over the years!

 Lee, it isn't my month to use the submersible. Looks like you are on own.
 Been an awful strange spring.Wife and I drove 40 miles north yesterday(had to get fitted for a tux).
 Small ponds are open but bigger ones are about 1/2 ice covered.The lakes were still covered.
 Had a call wednesday and one last night from friends ,where I trap in Northern MN.Both reported lake ice from 2 feet to over 30 inches.They got almost 3 feet of snow a week to 10 days ago.Same thing happened 12 years ago, ice went out about may 11, looks like pretty much the same thing this year.

I have the same problem over here on the streams I'm trapping. 2' of water covered my traps. Caught 1 beaver by the foot in a 330, Must have swam over the trap a pushed off on the trigger. Was the last trap to check and I had to walk back to the bridge  and walk down the other side of the stream to check it because the water was to deep. Re-made alot sets, next check they will probably be high and dry. Also had my 1st tick of the year.

Isn't that fun when the water does that? I remember once back in the late 70's when we had just the February season. I had traps on some creeks up north and the weather got warm. Went to get them out and some streams had 3 to 4 foot of water over the ice. Didn't loose any traps but I had to wade out to them on some questionable ice. I pulled traps up from holes that had water coming up out of them. Don't care to ever do that again.
I've never had to dive for one of my traps yet, but have found a couple old ones working dive jobs.

You guys are lucky.We don't have any water in the potholes and no run off.Most of the creeks are drying up.

Yotero, we had  7 years of dry spell, lots of times dont know where the  water came from the bvr had dammed up... this year everything is over the banks and  water everywhere this spring... we will have to wait and see what happens this summer.
