1st Dan Wesson
« on: May 26, 2010, 08:36:33 AM »
I picked up a used but in like new condition Dan Wesson in 375 SM,8" barrel, came with Burris mounts & rings and an Aimpoint 2000 red dot scope. Their is zero wearing of the blueing and grips,it also came with a uncle mikes shoulder holster and 40 rounds of factory ammo . Was $500 to much to pay for this not that it matters I really like it. It has a vent rib is there a front sight for these or do you just use the flat rib,it has adjustable rear sight. Where can I get dies for this, and I also need a barrel wrench.  Thanks

Congrats Danny-L  I shot alot of silhouette match's in the eighty's and early ninety's with a .375. Nice shooting gun. You can make brass from the .375 Winchester, or, 30-30 brass. Redding makes dies for this caliber, plus the dies to form .375sm from 30-30. You can get a barrel wrench from DW/CZ for this gun. Good Luck! gypsyman
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Try CZ for a front sight. There should be a slot with a roll pin through the rear of it, in the rib, and an allen screw in the front of the shroud that you tighten down to hold the sight. Also you could try the Dan Wesson Forum, lots of good Info there.

Check Ebay for 375 Winchester dies, the brass will have to be shortened, but the dies should screw down enough to work.  Check with the 375 owners on thedanwessonforum for the most accurate and inexpensive way to go.

Crimp die can be modified by turning off enough to let the shorter case contact the crimp feature in the bullet searing die.

I just did up 2 rounds everything will work except the die bottoms out on the casehead before it gets to the crimp ring,if that worked I'd be in business.
