.460 S&W in the Handi-Rifle ...... Any experience anyone?
« on: April 12, 2008, 11:52:26 PM »
Was looking at the .45 Colt and .460 S&W casings .....

Has anyone here at GBO re chambered (or re-bored and re chambered) a Handi-Rifle to shoot the .460 S&W?

If I was to do such a thing, I would start with a barrel in the .45 Colt and re-chamber to the longer cartridge (not unlike going from the .44 Mangle-um to the .445 Super, but in .452 cal instead of .429 and with a non-wildcat round).

Any comments?  Suggestions?

Thank you both, and the link to the "discussion" others have had about .454 and .460 "converting."

Excellent!
