what length barrels and what contours did Thompson offer these odd [but neat] barrels! I have some empty brass,,,,is THAT enough reason to buy a barrel? of course,,,,IF I can find one!

I know they made them in Super 14 and 12" Hunter and I think that is all. Mine is not for sale, I like it to much. Having brass is plenty of reason. I have bought barrels before because I had dies, an extra scope, extra scope mounts and the best....because I had an extra forend. It really is a neat caliber, hope you find one.

The custom shop will also chamber that particular caliber. I got my brass off ebay for a really cheap price. Keep an eye out for it. I used the brass for 30-30 AI though. Should last a lifetime. But I have seen the ballistics for it and I would not mind having one. Dan

These barrels were made in both stainless and blued, the 12 inch models were hunter barrels - with muzzle tamer, some of the 14 inch models had muzzle tamers others did not. I also recall seeing these in carbine lenght barrels, but I belive they were made for a very short time and I have not seen any for sale anywhere for quite a while.

You can get pistol lenght barrels from several places: M&M Trading post at http://pages.prodigy.net/mktcdyksman/ , Ed's Contenders www.edstc.com, or Ron's TCs members.aol.com/ronstcs/ . I have done business with the first 2 with no problems, I have not done business with the 3rd but have seen other postings on this forum saying that there were no problems with them. Good luck.

You cannot do business with a finer gentleman than Ron Sable (Ron's TC's), ditto for Ed, no experience with M&M. Just traded for a S-14 .375Win with les hemby and can't wait to shoot it.

Alan,

I have a 12" blued hunter barrel in 375 Winchester and it's a wonderful pointing combination that shoots 220 gr. Hornady FP bullets quite well. When you find your barrel, be sure to load up a few rounds with RL-7 as I think you'll be quite pleased with the results.

Everyone should have a 375 win barrel. Mine is 14" and it is one of the best shooting barrels i have.The 200 and 220 gr bullets are very accurate.
