No more 38-55 acc. barrels

Called NEF yesterday and asked about them installing barrels.  Was told they are still doing so.  Asked about getting a 38-55 barrel and was told they are out of them and are discontinued, so no more can be mounted, then asked about the 30-30 barrels and was told they won't be in for a couple more months.  That put a bee in my back pocket :o, so went to one of the local stores that still have the still had a 38-55 BC.  They don't have one now! ;D  The guy was real busy, so had to spend some time looking at other new stock they got in.  Noticed they had gotten 2 new 44 mag handis in again.  One wood stock and the other plastic.  Serial numbers started with HX and they were both on the SB2 frames.  "Woody" needed to come home with the 38-55.  Haven't had any luck locating a 30-30 yet, but the search is on. ;)  DP.

I asked about the 38-55 accessory barrel in February, they planned on keeping it then, so it being off the accessory barrel list may be incorrect, I asked again, I'll let ya know what I find out, they may have changed their mind since the consolidation.

The 38-55 barrel has not been discontinued from the accessory barrel program, but unless barrels are being made at this time which is unknown, it likely won't be available for a while, at least until after the barrel fitting operation is moved. I got some good news on possible new chamberings and barrel lengths, but that will have to be a wait and see status. ;) ;) ;)

I called MONDAY a week ago and was told point blank that there is no more 38-55 barrels and there were not going to be any more.
This is really the only thing that bugs me with this company is no two people will tell you the same thing or tells one person something and then tells the next person the exact opposite.
I wish thet would get their story straight!!!!!!!!!!

The folks at H&R may think it's discontinued because the rifle was, but that's not necessarily what Marlin has planned, if that gives you a clue as to who knows what. ;) Just like the .357 Mag and 450 Marlin rifles weren't  available for several years, but are available as  accessory barrels.

Well, there is another one I haven't heard of.  Big 5, Lipsey's.  Are there any more treasure chests out there a guy should know of?  Are there still 357 mags out there that need a good home?LORD HELP ME, I GOT THE FEVER! ;D  DP.
