Takedown of Winchester Big Bore
« on: July 16, 2003, 03:48:43 AM »
OK Folks, here's where I either show my degree of dumb or my other degree of asking for directions when I get lost.

How do I takedown my Winchester Big Bore (94AE) 444.  The parts list that came with the rifle doesn't provide any real insights into removing the bolt or the bolt block or any of the other parts and since I now own 3 of the darn things I should know how to take them apart.

One of the actions is new and needs some stoning and the others just need to be cleaned.

Since I am not well versed in Winchesters I would appreciate any help anyone can provide.  Please remember that with me the KISS concept applies.

Would these takedown instructions also apply to an earlier Model 94?

Thanks all very much.  Mikey.

Mikey, my friend,
Try Stevespages.  he has both owners manual and parts break down.  Hope it's what you need.

savageT........Have you hugged a '99 lately?

Of all the things I've lost in my life, I miss my mind the most.

Hi Jim:  Thanks for the link.  I tried Steve's pages but did not see the takedown instructions I was looking for.  I will look again however.  Let's not forget how many times you had to give me directions to Syracuse.  Lately I feel like I'm in aa state of dumbness.

Hope all is well with you and yours.  Shot that Swede lately?  Thanks again.  Mikey.
