He's on a 10 day time out, he'll be reinstated sometime before midnight tonight at which time he has 24hrs to apologize for his bad behavior.

Nope that is a exception to the rules. The behavior Dale had that night I heard and seen would have gotten him banned.  He jumped off the deep end.

He was banned with full intentions of it being forever. He called me via phone one evening interupting my supper to ask me how he could be allowed back. His conduct was such that he should not have been allowed back but I agreed to make an exception for him as I do feel he needs this site badly.

The terms I set was a ten day suspension which I lifted about 30 minutes ago and a public apology to the members and especially to the member he used such foul and vile language to that got him banned to begin with. He must then from that point forward follow the rules and never again commit the acts he did to get banned this time. If there is a repeat there will be no chance for a return next time.

I am violating my own rules to allow him back this time.

Thanks for the clarification. Been away for 2-1/2 month in the very south of AZ
and did not have much use of a good computer. Just got back to the good old
frozen north day before yesterday. Dale has had all sorts of trouble of late.
He is perhaps utterly frustrated with all his misfortunes and trys to unload his problems in poor form.

I did not think that Dale would respond right away after the 10 day ban because this appropriate punishment probably caused some shame & humility to set in.
I do expect Dale to return being perhaps a little more humble and having a brighter outlook.
