Shot my new SW1911 today!
« on: March 09, 2008, 01:06:46 PM »
WOW........this thing is AWESOME!

I shot 50 rounds of 230 gr. American Eagle ammo through it.  I was going to shoot more but it was 22° out, windy as heck (20 to 30 MPH) and we got a foot of snow last night.  I also had to help my friend with his 308.

It shoots great.  I'm very happy with it.  I shot at 7, 15 and 25 yards.  I put all 50 rounds in a circle about the size of a basketball.  This was the first time I shot it.  It's also my first 1911/45 ACP.  All things considered, weather and first time shooting a brand new pistol, I was very impressed with it! :)

Nice! I have a SW1911 as my first 1911 too. I polished the feed ramp and installed a full-length guide rod w/ buffer from Wilson Combat. Havnt shot it off a bench to see just how accurate it is, but it is sure fun to shoot!
