Yup use it regularly both in helping to remove copper and other fouling but also to help smooth new barrels a bit prior to firing them.

J-B is now formulated in several types. The original formula used a natural vegetable abrasive and was very safe, some of the reformulated versions can be much more abrasive and should be used carefully. I use the original version to remove heavy fouling especially with metal fouling.. but find Sweet's 7.62 more effective and a 'Foul Out' even more so..
